It's not obvious where the comments should be on the notes. On the other hand, I know that the notes work well under notifications - I'm not so sure about the other bits. This also means people can see my posts on my profile. I configured the settings so it shows 10 of my posts and turned off showing friends' blogs. You can only read the feed, you can't add comments (AFAIK), so perhaps you'll find it a suitable alternative like I did? I still prefer not to have many non-facebook apps, from a security point of view.
